According to the ads for these things, they really are made of tungsten. Because the density is only claimed to be 25% higher than lead, it can't be pure tungsten: Probably a typical sintered "tungsten heavy alloy" in which powdered tungsten is held together by a matrix of a lower melting point metal. (There's little doubt they do indeed contain tungsten: Anything else that is denser than lead would be much more expensive.)
